A waiting room is a perfect metaphor for transitions in life. Time is a social construct. Time feels never ending for the one who waits. How much of human life is, in fact, lost waiting? On average a person spends an estimated 45 to 62 minutes waiting everyday.

There are designated spaces and areas for waiting, where people wait. To queue they take a piece of paper with a number on it. They check and recheck the number, eat their fingernails, checking the time over and over.
